The creek was serene and bubbled soothingly as the waters swept smoothly across the stones. The peace was then disturbed by a loud splash and galloping hooves as a black tobiano stallion jumped into the water, kicking up water and rocks with his powerful hooves. The stallion, Fabien, tossed his head as droplets splashed onto his face, slowing to a brisk trot.

He was a boundless source of energy for a stallion of his age, a morning run was required for him to be able to sleep at night. He was feeling rather spry that morning, holding his head high with pride as he traipsed across the valley like he owned the place. Fabien was pretty cocky… It was hereditary.

Maybe it’ll be useful in the future. He mused, stopping in the center of the creek to take a drink. Water dripped down his chin as he sipped the crisp, cool liquid. Plenty of lonely mares out here to be had, maybe a few that are willing to follow me.

Fabien raised his head, then stood and continued on his way, his natural high stepping gait making him appear regal and refined.
