( So, while getting super excited to see what season 5 of Steven Universe has in store for us, I ended up binge watching all four seasons over again..... aaaaaand of course my OC making senses went off almost immediately. I am like extremely late to the gem OC making party, but hey, better late than never. I actually did make one during the hype when everyone else was making one, but I never posted it. But now that I'm a lot more familiar with the show and the characters I just couldn't help myself this go round. Not sure if I'm actually going to do anything more with her, but she was fun to make either way. Don't know if this is really in the Steven Universe art style though, but hey I tried )

Zirconia is an experimental synthetic gem being, created by Homeworld as a kind of super soldier made to only follow orders and never ask questions. After the past few missions against Earth have come up as failures, it was decided that a different approach was needed. And, under the command of White Diamond herself, Project Zirconia was initiated as an experimental run and sent to Earth. Her orders are to check on the progress of the Cluster... and to terminate anyone that gets in her way. (I picture this as taking place sometime before Aquamarine and Topaz arrive since I don't currently know how all that is going to play out. Can't wait to find out though! >u<)

Personality:

Zirconia was made to be the perfect soldier, as such she was designed to be void of all emotions and feelings except for an unbreakable loyalty to her Diamond. Even when in battle she doesn't emit any expression of anger or pride, merely going through the motions of what she was created to do. Although seeing emotions expressed by others tends to... elude her a bit as she claims she was created not to have emotions and doesn't understand why others have them or why even bother having them. She is very drone like in her manner of speaking, when she's willing to hold a conversation with someone that is. But she does have a subtle air of politeness and etiquette to her personality, mainly since she was made to belong as a member of White Diamond's court and would have to hold some form of respect and formality. Though she does have the tendency to come off as very blunt when talking as, once again, emotions tend to throw her for a loop and she doesn't understand the concept of hurting people with her words or actions.

Powers/Abilities:

Shapeshifting Clone - Being a synthetic gem Zirconia is actually unable to summon a weapon of her own from her gem. (The blaster she has on her right arm is part of the tech of her suit. Her suit isn't melded to her body like most clothing on Gems either so if that gauntlet gets taken away, no more Blaster.) Instead, her gem acts as a scanner and once she has throughly scanned an individual she can effectively shapeshift into a clone of them, using their powers and weapons against them. Although she will completely copy a person's outward appearance, she will however keep her pale coloring after transformation and her gem will stay visible on her chest. A couple draw backs to this ability is that she is incapable of copying Gem Fusions and she can only use her copied form while the same person she scanned is still in the immediate area, she can't shapeshift into someone's form from memory.

Fierce Fighter - Even when not using her shapeshifting abilities in a battle, she is still a deadly fighter and can engage in hand to hand combat with even the most experienced fighters. Though most of the credit for her fighting skills goes to the computer visor she has embedded in her helmet that can detect openings and possible incoming blows when fighting against an opponent.

Invisibility - (This one I just thought would be interesting since Cubic Zirconia is generally a colorless gem I thought I could incorporate that aspect of it as a kind of form of invisibility. However, since she is just a prototype, it isn't perfect invisibility. She would still need to use a bit of stealth while in this mode as her movements can still be somewhat seen if one was to notice.)

Regeneration - One thing the Diamonds took away from the Rebellion was the advantage the Crystal gems had with Rose Quartz being able to heal their gems. As such, they tried to incorporate a similar function into Zirconia by being able to heal herself and even her own gem if it were to become cracked. She isn't able to heal others however. Though while she's able to almost instantly heal any damage on herself, her suit is the thing really keeping her alive and if that gets damaged she has to make the repairs to it manually, usually having to flee from a fight in order to do so.

Flight - Another ability that comes mainly from her suit. The bottom of her boots are small thrusters that give her the capability to hover or fly. It uses more of an anti-gravity system more so than regular rockets so she doesn't give off much noise when using them so she can fly around stealthily.

Information Siphon - The gauntlet on her left arm contains a small information hub on the condition of her suit, informing her on whether it needs recharging or repairs. But it also contains a thin cord with a spiked prong on the end of it. By stabbing the end into any electrical device, she can proceed to extract any information from the device that she needs and the information will instantly upload into her memory for her to use. She does need to exercise some caution when doing this though as she could very likely just end up electrocuting herself. She can also use this feature on living beings by injecting the needle into the base of someone's neck on the back of their head, extracting things such as memories or valuable information. This approach can be risky however as she would need to use utter stealth when inserting the cable as a person can easily interrupt the uploading process if they become aware of it and detach the cable from themselves. She also has to be careful with how much information she's willing to download as her own mind has a limited amount of memory space.

Weaknesses:

- Zirconia's biggest advantage is also her biggest weakness, her suit. While its outfitted with only the most technologically advanced piece of hardware Homeworld has to offer, its power output is finite. She has to constantly be aware of how much energy she uses in everything that she does. Any power or ability she uses will take away power from her suit to the point where she will eventually need to recharge it. She can do this by either plugging it into the power source on her ship for a faster charge or resting manually. Her suit is what keeps her physical form together and if it becomes completely drained of power or is damaged enough she will instantly be poofed and retreat into her gem until she has regained enough energy to reform herself again.

- Although her powers and abilities make her a definite force to be reckoned with, she is still just a prototype being and her powers can be faulty and extremely glitchy at times to the point where she can't even use them properly.

- She is completely outfitted in a electronically functioning metal suit, so things like water and live electricity are not her friends.
