Description

The Dunkleosteus was an ancient armored fish, a Placoderm from the late Devonian Period. Fossilized skulls have been found but not much in the way of bodily remains because their body skeletons were of a softer tissue that didn't fossilize well so there's some speculation about what the rest of their bodies looked like. Most artists' renderings show Dunkleosteus' hind region modeled after smaller arthrodires, such as Coccosteus, which had preserved hind sections. I've chosen to draw Dunkleosteus with a Coelacanth body morphology because, scientifically speaking, Coelecanth bodies are waaaaaaaaay more awesomer looking.

This is awesome, love the style. Good choice on the Coelecanth body too!
