This is a wonderful photograph, Priscilla! It's an Instant Wallpaper — with your permission, of course. The colors, the contrast, humans scooting about in the dark whilst Mother Nature put on her light show: I love it!

:phew:

Personally, I like the "highlight around the bush" thing. Also, that staggered formation of unidentified flying objects breaking through the clouds near the top of the photograph adds a touch of apprehension — which further transforms the scene into a story all its own.

:omg:

But seriously, there's something about nighttime lights of civilization — distant motor vehicles, shops, signs, street lamps, etc. — which makes me long for back-in-the-day suburbia. Take

this

scene, for instance: I'm always glad to see Asuka, but it's the distant nighttime lights which speak to me. I've no idea what they're saying exactly, but they're definitely beckoning. Maybe I've lived in the Heart of the City too long?

:O_o:

Anyway, those highway/mall/whatever lights in your photograph definitely beckon. Maybe it's akin to River Tam seeing that Fruity Oaty Bar advertisement in Joss Whedon's feature film Serenity (Los Angeles: Universal, 2005). It's some kind of code! Or not. I'd better go now.

:D
