I’ve been poor my whole life, and not like darn I can’t afford the new iPhone poor, but more like struggling to make rent and can’t afford health insurance ever kind of shit. Sometimes the feeling is suffocating when you consider yourself an artist and there is no way out but holding your breathe and hoping you don’t choke on your own personality. I wanted to make an image that expressed this feeling. Originally I wanted to do this on myself, but figured I would try it with Shonda Mackey since they always come out really nice! I hope that if you ever feel the same, that if you ever feel like there is no way out of your financial mess, that I’ve been there, that I am there, and that you’ll be ok! It’s just money, it has no relation to your happiness, this is a life lesson that is long and hard to figure out, but I hope this photo connects with you in some way and sends you in the right direction.

I do know the feeling of being trapped and not having any escape. What I've come to realize is, determination and the drive to find somewhere else to go, if its spiritually or literally you have to go out of your way and probably struggle to achieve it. i haven't achieved my goals but i ain't giving up until i do, and i hope people stick to this as well and don't give up trying to find your way out because i feel its only a matter of time until you do find it.
