This artwork is based on my Doom rewrite fanfic, "Day of Wrath." Although my project is focused on the events of Doom 2016/Eternal, Wolfenstein is part of its extended timeline, and this drawing is from my original interpretation of Wolfenstein.
In this context, the Nazis acquired Da'at Yichud technology during the 1930s/40s, even discovering long-lost Vril-ya survivors (an ancient mystical humanoid race also known as the Hyperboreans or Thule Civilization). Recruiting these enigmatic beings into their cause, the Nazis combined Vril-ya magic and Da'at Yichud tech to create terrible beasts and machines of war. They even reopened Hellgates that had been forgotten since the Middle Ages, opening portals to Hell, summoning demons, and even harnessing an early form of Argent Energy. These included the Harbinger of Doom, an unholy fusion of flesh and metal that was the Nazi Cyberdemon.
But most terrible and powerful of all was the Fuhrer's personal battle mech. Equipped with all manner of devastating weaponry, including quadruple Argent cannons, this mech was also capable of freely opening Hellgates and summoning hordes of demons to its service, possible by the Black Sun engine in its chest.
It was through one of these portals that the Doom Slayer mysteriously appeared during BJ Blazcowicz's battle with the mech. Through their combined efforts, the two warriors were able to destroy the mech's Black Sun core, releasing its control over the demons which turned on their former master and dragged the mech and the screaming Fuhrer into the depths of Hell. The battle concluded, the two warriors shared a moment of possible recognition before the Doom Slayer leapt back through the closing Hellgate and disappeared once more.
Afterwards, having seen them only as allies of convenience, the last Vril-ya would turn on the remaining Nazis, but these would be exterminated by their darker and superior technology. The Vril-ya are presumed extinct, with only one known survivor.
