Story time!

If it isn't obvious, I loved creating this drawing to pieces. This is probably my most intricate traditional work to date outside of school. For the longest time after establishing the trade, I kept struggling with how I wanted this to look. Vera had just asked for Boogle napping in a pile of socks, but I honestly wasn't going to pass up the opportunity to go just a little crazy with it since she has the most FANTASTIC characters. Somehow the sketch just came together in one sitting, and the coloring was a complete dream to do c: ALL my favorite colors being as bright and obnoxious as possible. The more time I spent flipping through Vera's gallery, the more I fell in love with the depth and complexity her creations possess (particularly the bugs, which surprised me!) Did my best to capture that by being as detailed and true to them as possible. Really hope I did everyone justice, bb
