I'm not really sure how to critique this one. I think the concept is awesome and I love the way you did the fish (I have a soft spot for scales). Even though you told me that you're not looking to do realism this seems more of an attempt at realism in my opinion.

The problem you've got here is not that you're being realistic or that you're being stylised (you can have either or both), but that you're not yet good enough at realism to do a stylised piece like this without reference.

Its ok to do semi-realism, but you've still got to understand true realism if you want to pull off semi-realism well.
