Description

When asked which are the two cities of Somerset, most people are likely to reply that it's Bristol and Bath. Wrong! Bristol is its own county, and the two cities of Somerset are Bath and Wells. It's understandable why Wells is less know: with a population of merely 10.000, which is more befitting of a small town, Wells is the smallest city in England. But it's got a cathedral, so it's a city alright. And what cathedral! It rightfully counts amongst the most beautiful in Britain, and a single look at its elaborately decorated front should give you a hint why ;D

See all sorts of beautiful pictures, but I really can't imagine what it must be like to see it in person. I hope I have the opportunity one day!
