Novakov Manufacturing Model 29, Personal Defense Weapon - Caliber 9mm Makarov

-Full-auto submachine gun

-9x18mm Makarov - 30 rounds per standard magazine

-Russian - Novakov Manufacturing

-Part of the Novakov family of weapons

The Novakov PDW-9 is a submachine gun produced by Novakov Manufacturing, being one of the last projects before their re-branding and modernization into Novakov Concern. This was very obviously based on the Gepard PDW, being a unique design in and of itself. This borrows tooling from their ANoS-77U production for the receivers and handguards, even maintaining the same folding stock mechanism (which allows the end consumer to swap the stocks between the two). The pistol grip portion was made with bakelite and is inspired by the Glock's pistol grip, borrowing the shape and the safety blade trigger. This uses a unique 9x18mm Makarov magazine to feed into the gun, using a 30 round magazine capacity not seen previously with the Gepard. This feels similar to an Uzi in utility, but with all of the reliability and modularity of Novakov's AK platform. While there has been a few attempts over the years to modernize this particular weapon, the closest to have found success is in the American market with Humphrey Arms' conversions of their M75-C submachine guns to use a similar grip module. This weapon also influenced the design of the Atlas Defense Jusille platform of weapons, using a similar configuration. This weapon has seen success, however, with other military corporations within different European nations. All in all, this is a handy sub-gun!
