YOOOOO !!
I listen to my POLL results ! ... Sometimes.... more or less ;)

I planned to submit this only in 2/3 days, but I'm soo happy with the result that I HAD to submit it right now !!

The basic version featured more tanned skin tones and then more saturated hues (well emma had already less warm colors, it was part of the oposition between both characters ).

As always I planned to add the usual Art Nouveau stuff and such.
THEN,
I thought that It was maybe a good moment to try something else, something more tricky : working with a full desaturated background, with white and grey tones.

Thanks photoshop, I could re-arrange Jean and Ems skin tones very easily, and very fast.
It's a bit hard to work with white and greys ; there's no real cool relected lights; and you're going to have a very COLD mood, which can suit very well to Emma, but less to Jean; but knowing our Black Queen wear black and is a red head, you can have a very cool contrast in the pic HOWEVER, even if I lost my basic skin tones contrast idea :/ but it's not THAT problematic.

I worked with blue shadows, then added soft green tones in them, to warm them a bit, but also if you know your color theory, you know that red fits with green; so here you go.
Plus I really DO think it add a lots of interesting stuff in the colors.

Last but not least; because I know hardcore fans are going to complain/ ask why Jean has not her tied hair and why they are more orange than red:

> first I dislike the haircut she has when she's the Black Queen; and second I like a lot untied long hair, it allow so much cool stuff to do, good patterns, movement, and I do think it's way more sexy actually.

> About hair color : well it's a problem with every comics : you always have different colorists. In the late 80's Jean used to have RED hair, but toward the end of the 90's she often had Orange hair, when she was -again-the phoenix (around Nate Grey's period ). Generally she is full Red however, but I always thought it looked too unatural so I switched for a more more red/orange tone.
