Moon - Named originally for the moonish markings on his face as well as a parallel to his sister's name.

PERSONALITY

Think of your uncle. Moonflare is a kind tom, with an undying loyalty and an honest nature of a natural warrior. Sure, he may be pretty elitist and kind of a butt if you get on his bad side, but you can't help but love him. He's got a quick tongue and quick mind, but he typically doesn't mean anyone any harm. Moonflare loves his family, and would do absolutely anything and everything for them.

FAMILY

Parents: Poppyheart x Juniperberry

HISTORY
Kit-

• Born to Juniperberry and Poppyheart with his sister Solarkit. His mother passed away not long after they were born, so he has no memory of his mother.
• Ruffledlight was a big part of his kithood, always looking after him and Solarkit, and playing with them and making sure they didn't get bored while also making sure they didn't get hurt. He also thought she had really pretty green eyes.
• Ruffledlight grew very sick, and couldn't be cured. She passed away in her sleep. This loss shook Moonkit to his very core, and he began to push cats away in his grief, including his sister. To try and make sure that they stayed away, he became mean, and bitter.
• Not long after, Juniperberry disappeared. This fed his anger and made him a very angry and lonely kit when it came time for him to be an apprentice.

Apprentice-

• Earned Badgerstreak as a mentor. He thought the tom had cool eyes, and was slightly jealous of the grumpy tom, but didn't tell him so because he didn't want to be kind.
• Solarpaw began to branch out to other cats, making Moonpaw jealous and lash out even more. He especially didn't like that she seemed so close to the clan's most egotistical tom, Shiningpaw, who had a pretty bad reputation.
• Fallenpaw, another mean and odd apprentice, was bullying Solarpaw one day and Moonpaw, not liking that someone was being mean to his sister, went and stood up to her. This was the catalyst for their getting along again.
• Not long after this, Moonpaw and Solarpaw adopted Hollowpaw - the medicine cat apprentice - into their family. It was Solarpaw's idea, but he went along with it.
• Met a she-cat named Scarpaw, who was the only cat besides his sister and brother to talk to him. He enjoyed her company, and not long after began to feel warm in his chest whenever they were around each other.
• Got green-cough with his sister and gave up his share of cat-mint to make sure that she didn't get more sick and that she would heal fast. Almost died due to this, but pulled out okay in the end. This is when their relationship naturally repaired itself.
• Realized that his feelings for Scarpaw were more than friendship, but didn't say in fear that she'd leave.
• Forced to stay in the camp during the fight with NightClan, much to his upset, due to his cough that remained even after he'd gotten better.

Warrior -

• Became a warrior with the name Moonflare, which he thought was a pretty great name.
• Solarstorm became mates with Shiningwing literally less than a moon into their being warriors. Moonflare did not approve of this, and wasn't exactly shy to express this.
• Scarflower passed away sometime into their early moons as warriors, leaving him dazed, confused, and horribly shooken up.
• Met Dragonfire, who suffered similar fates to losing those that he cared deeply for. They grew close, and Moonflare began to see the tom as a brotherly figure.
• Solarstorm announces that she's pregnant, much to his own upset.
• Is given Arcticpaw as an apprentice as Solarstorm - her former mentor - had to go to the nursery. He thought she was alright, but a bit too shy for his liking.
• Splashleaf - the NightClan medicine cat - comes to the camp bearing noneother than Shiningwing's kits. Moonflare is, understandably, upset. Not long after the kits are born, Shiningwing breaks it off with Solarstorm, leaving their kits more or less fatherless but Splashleaf's kits with a doting father.
• Moonflare tells the kits about what had happened, as it was unfair to them to not know why their father seemed to love Splashleaf's kits more than them.
• When Solarstorm's kits became apprentices, Wasppaw is given to Dragonfire. He's pleased that someone he trusts is given a watchful eye over one of his sister's kits.
• Reconnects with Arcticrose, who he finds to be quite nice to be around nowadays. The two grew close.
• Solarstorm loses her sight and retires to the elder's den as at the time, blindness was seen as a weakness and not something that you could overcome as a warrior.
• There is a large thing about the leaders and cats dying, but Moonflare tries not to pay too much attention to it, as he didn't care much for political drama. Wolves also become a threat during this time. He's mostly worried about keeping Solarstorm, Arcticrose, and Solarstorm's kits safe.
• The Wolves become neutralized when the paths that they were originally going to take were blocked off. Dragonfire fell off the cliffs due to this, as it was a risky thing to do anyways. Moonflare blamed himself for not not moving fast enough, as he was on the patrol that did that.
• He grows much closer to Arcticrose, much to her father's displeasure. He talks to the tom and they come to a semi-understanding, but things are still a bit tense.
• He begins to work on a poem and other sweet things to try and woo the she-cat. May have possibly crossed the CloudClan border to get the rose.
• Gives her his gift and admits his feelings to her, and she accepts and says that she felt the same! The two happily become mates.
• Owlstar goes missing and Fainthope is made the leader and Rookfeather his deputy. He feels this is a good change for HighClan.
• Spent a lot of time afterwards happily spending time with his family, so a lot of time went by in a blur.
• One day on a patrol, he and Waspgaze fell down the mountain and he carried back his nephew on his back to camp. Rookfeather suggested that they retire due to their injuries. Moonflare wanted to object, but seeing the look on Waspgaze's face and his lack of arguing, he agreed to become an elder early.

Elder -

• LightningClan and LeafClan sought refuge after their camps were destroyed. Was mildly sad and confused to find that the other clans didn't have that many elders.
• Spent a lot of time with his family.
• The clans began their journey.
• Arcticrose announced she was pregnant.
• The clans found their home.
• His kits were born, which he was very delighted about.
• It seemed like no time had gone by before they were made apprentices! And then even less when they became warriors! Sure some drama went on but Moonflare didn't care, he just wanted to be with his family.

TRIVIA ◦ He and Solarstorm were my first characters, put into the group when they were just apprentices!
◦ I literally have no idea how or why this guy turned out the way that he did, but I'm happy that he's at least happy!! God him and Arcticrose give me actual LIFE i DIE
