Please excuse my John obsession...sorry everyone!!!

I did this one today fairly quickly before I headed off to work. I've come to the conclusion that I can't stand watercolors! I love how they look, but they are super hard to control. I have no experience really with these so I'll need some practice.

I told myself I'd stop doing ones of John (for now), but I have this poster of him on my wall that I love...I just think this is a great shot of him. So I decided to just do it! And I'm tired of always trying to draw as realistic-looking as I can--this messy style is my style, so I'm sticking to it!

He's done in watercolors, I could only afford a set of 12 prismacolor watercolor pencils so there isn't too much color variation. The background is kind of weird...I first did a layer of watercolors, then I added oil pastel, then I covered it with acrylic white paint. I didn't really know what else to do with it I guess...

I think I like my other John painting better but I do like this one. Hope you guys like it too!
