Todays image comes from the north-west coast of France. Developed in b&w, this photo shows you the Norman architecture of this beautiful stronghold monastery, built in the 10th century.

Like a left over relic from a long time ago, Le Mont Saint Michel lies off the coast of Europe.

Today this place is a famous european tourist attraction and about 3.5 million people visit it per year.

It was the inspiration for director Peter Jackson and his monumental „ Lord of the Rings“ movies for the city of „Minas Tirith“.
