Description

Tirant from the chivalric romance, “Tirant lo Blanch” (Tirant the White). It’s a work of a Valencian knight named Joanot Martorell that became an influence to Miguel de Cervantes, the author of the more famous “Don Quixote”. The period of the events in the romance is late medieval (15th century CE). The hero hails from Brittany who roamed around Europe seeking for adventures & knightly competitions until the Byzantine emperor sought for his help in fighting the invading Muslims.
