With a shaky breath, Chris finally worked up the courage he’d been searching for for the longest time, "... Do you have any plans for tonight..? I know it’s Christmas Eve and all, but if you’re not busy..." His shoulders rose and fell in a small shrug, not that she could see him, "Maybe, the two of us could... do something?" "My parents and I were going to spend the holidays together," Jill started. "but since that little Colorado thing came up, they decided to do something else, so I would love to do something. Seeing as I have nothing else to do, might as well spend it with someone I know." "Uh, great. H-How’s dinner sound? I know this great place that’s open tonight even..." "I, uh, sure, yeah. Dinner sounds lovely. Hey, uh, Chris? What type of place is it?" "... Pick you up at 7...?" "Seven?" Jill looked over to her bed stand. It was almost six now. "Yeah, seven is fine." Embarrassed, Chris quickly answered her question, "It’s, uh... It’s pretty nice I guess. I’ll catch you at seven then... Bye, Jill." Chris hung up the phone before she could say anything else. God, he was nervous. No, he was beyond nervous. So nervous he felt almost sick... Throwing his clothes onto his bed, Chris went the the bathroom and shed his clothes. Gross actually, he’d been working out all day up until now. Hadn’t gotten the chance to change from his sweat clothes yet. Turning on the hot water, Chris stepped into the shower. Washed his hair, his body, and then stood there letting the hot water run over his sore muscles for a while before finally shutting the water off and stepping out onto the floor mat.
