Description

This was inspired by EVO hugger, a person on Animo who drew a picture of Rex making his own scythe with Velvet making a light copy of Rex's BFS.

So I decided to make my own take on this.

Reap O' War, the name I gave to it with a nod to a war scythe and a reaper scythe, is the Omega copy of the original Crescent Rose. It has almost all of the functions of the original:

• Storage" mode where it is in compact form for transportation (though for Rex, it is unneeded).
• "Rifle" mode where it takes the form of a medium-length, straight-pull bolt-action sniper rifle.
• "Scythe" mode, where it fully extends into the form of a scythe, allowing it to be used as a mid-to-close range bladed polearm. This form also doubles as a long-barrel sniper rifle for long-range shots without giving up the melee capabilities of the scythe. If needed, the bottom of the shaft can unfold to add more cutting power in a close-quarters fight.

There are some differences:

• The ends on the blade are energized with blue energy which increases its cutting power.
• Instead of normal bullets, Rex shoots energy bolts.
• Since this is Rex's build and his Nanites have Crescent Rose's blueprints, he has an easier time with swapping between its different modes at a quicker rate.
• The wire on Rex's arm can attach itself to the weapon in its sniper mode to increase the damage and rate of fire of its shots.
• Unlike most of his builds, the Reap O' War is not a part of Rex's body (because I thought it would be a little awkward). Instead, he makes a gauntlet that has extremely thin but strong tether strings attached to the scythe so it won't be separated from him. And even when it is, Rex can easily call it back or create another one while choosing to self destruct the original so it wouldn't be used against him.
