I remember when this game came out. I was in middle-school when it was first launched. And it sure was a huge leap from the NES and SNES era to the PS1 era. And it was quite a transition with its improved graphics, solid sound effects, and being one of the first Megaman games to feature animation cut scenes and voice acting. Though, while the animation cut scenes are a nice touch that enhances the story, the voice acting leaves much to be desired. But what stood out for me the most was the gameplay, and the new innovations that the game introduced. The game plays like your classic Megaman game, and it stays true to the spirit of the series' roots. But I really liked the bosses and the weapons you gain from them after you defeat them. And the soundtrack is catchy as heck. Also, this game introduced Duo, who we sadly don't see again, which is a bummer considering the potential he has. But minor complaints aside, Megaman 8 is another solid game in the Megaman series. And one which I hold dear to my heart to this day.
