Description

Most paintings don't have epic inspirations, as is the case with this one. I got the idea for it during a normal workday. I'm an X-ray tech at the hospital and sometimes have to wait minutes before a scan is ready. In those minutes the mind wanders freely and I got the idee for this. It's based on papercuttings which I also love to make. I tried to keep to a colorscheme but got too enthusiastic (again) and used more colours than I intended. When will I ever learn. The paper I used is Fabriano, A3 size, 300g and the watercolorbrandds are various. Lots of Winsor and Newton and Daniel Smith but also Van Gogh and some mysterious tubes I got from thrift. Below here you see the quick sketch which I made at work on which the painting is based.

What a funny thing...I would like to see what the patients would drew/paint while being under the x-rays.
