You enter a furnishing store, after a few hours you check your watch, it is 12 am and you did not notice the store is closed until the lights turn off, giving a dim glow as you try find the exit, you see a battle axe on the floor, knowing you might need it, you keep it with you, but you see something even weirder, white fragments on the floor, you do not know the material, some are extremely dusty, all of a sudden both the axe and fragments start shaking, they both dash away. You chase them, and see them form a humanoid structure, a few pieces of shadow rip from their surfaces covering the structure’s feet, you watch as the axe slowly approaches one of it’s hands, as the final piece of this entity, the head finishes, the pupils light up, and then, nothing, you blink, and for less than a second you hear the pitter patter of footsteps, and see the structure, closer, it is so close you fall back in terror, the pain of not blinking as you back away fills your eyes, the urge fills you again, you know if you blink, you will never open your eyes again. One person is trapped with you, they run off, but the creature speeds towards them at a speed so terrifying that you almost fainted, you see the person’s head, severed, his body lies on the floor, you stare until that thing is out of sight, you are safe, but as long as you never see it again, you can blink all you want.

The smiling slaughterer is a tall, weapon wielding sculpture like creature that is only active when unobserved, when it is, it severs the heads of whoever fixed their gaze off of it; so much as a blink can be lights out. This creature is made of fragments made of an unknown white material, it’s feet are covered in shadow, concealing what they really look like. Though, when it is being observed, it is harmless. Its eyes are glowing white and when harmed, that light fades out and the cartoonish smile that normally rests on its face flips upside down, forming a frown, before crumbling into the puzzle pieces that form it’s body with the axe on top of the pile. Overall, as long as the entity is being observed, as well as the observer not blinking, it is harmless, but when it is being UNobserved, then the observer will have their head off their neck
