Description

Samurai bushi, not-so-high class samurai, and lower-class ashigaru. Possibly Genpei War, pre-Kamakura shogunate, the ratio of infantrymen to mounted samurai was 20-to-1, but upper-class samurai tended to be the only ones who were depicted in scrolls. Note, the samurai's primary weapon at that time was the bow.
