Princess Peach: Gowns All The Way From 1985 by Josh-S26 on DeviantArt (original) (raw)

Oh hey, it's my birthday today! Well, I got lots of gifts today (mostly from Deviantart) and I just want to thank you guys for that! I'll post a picture of my gifts tomorrow!

Anywho, today, I drew pictures of Princess Peach in her different outfits. She's actually worn more things than this throughout the Mario games but in case you didn't feel like reading the little word box on the bottom of the drawings, then the reason why I decided to only draw Peach in all of her gowns is because... I didn't feel like drawing legs. Seriously, they're a frickin pain to draw sometimes. But that's probably only me.

Anyways, I didn't have enough room in the first piece of paper so this is actually the first deviation I ever posted that included more than one sheet of paper (amazing, I know).

Little did you know, Princess Peach actually appeared in more games than any other female character in video game history. Thanks, Video Game World Records!

Because I'm too lazy to post separate pictures of all the dresses in this picture, here's a link to a whole gallery. www.mariowiki.com/Gallery:Prin…

The Classic
All the way back to the first game. For those who didn't know, Peach's dress right now was actually not the first one she ever wore. Back then, her dress used to have a waistline around her dress and the pattern on her skirt was different. Just thought I had to point that out. Also, for some reason, her dress was white and red in the in-game sprites. I don't really know why. Eh, I'm just gonna assume it's technology limits.

The Classic...?
Most of you probably don't know this but for the official Peach artwork for Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels, her clothes actually had a little bit of a colour difference. Her dress has a much lighter colour with the main colour being a really light pink (almost completely white) and her crown and brooch were orange and yellow instead of gold, blue and red. I don't really know why, but it is.

The Archeologist
Ever played Mario Party 2? Because in that game, each board puts each characters in different costumes. One board makes them an astronaut, another makes then a pirate and there are some more boards with different costumes. I started off with Peach's Archeologist costume since that's the only outfit that the creators actually made official art on Peach. She basically has an archeologist cap and a casual top with a ribbon and belt. Also, her skirt has a large slit on the front just to show that there's another skirt right underneath it. I'm no scientist but I'm pretty sure archeologists are NOT supposed to wear skirts when they're at work.

The Pirate
As a pirate, Peach has a large sword and a ribbon around her waste (well, mostly the top of her skirt actually) while all other charcters also have these accessories. She also wears a sweet cap suited for a captain. Her gown is basically the same only the top part is white including the top part of her skirt. The middle section of her skirt is pink and the bottom part of her skirt is a more darker pink (I just used magenta to colour that part). I don't know if pirates wear gowns but hey, I guess that's their choice.

The Cowgirl
As a cowgirl, Peach carries around a gun (Life advice: Don't mess with anybody carrying an actual gun). Peach wears a cowboy hat and wears a dark blue vest adding a lighter blue scarf. She also has a belt which I guess is where a cowboy would keep their weapons. Oh, and her skirt is nothing but a plain pink skirt so it's the easiest part to draw! Hehe...

The Wizard
As a wizard, each characetr carries around a wand with a star on it. Peach wears a darker gown than her usual one and she has a cape thing on the front of it (I don't know what they're called). She also has this cool looking hat which I would love to wear one day.

The Astronaut
Here's an astronaut Peach, her top seems to be good thing to wear for a normal astronaut. But again, I'm no scientist but I am fairly certain that an astronaut never ever wear skirts in space... ever. Her skirt is basically just a bunch of slits around it just reveal a grey skirt underneath it, it's like an evolved version of the the archeologist skirt or something.

The Fighter
The Smash Bros. series has most of my favorite Peach outfits in the whole Mario universe. They're so detailed and it seems like lots of deviants draw her in those dresses. The melee dress is a lot less poofier than her past dresses and has a golden pattern on the skirt and around the brooch. The skirt is red on the very bottom with a clear... thing around it (don't know what they're called). She looks like an actual princess in these dresses.

The Sunshine
I honestly really like this one because it seems more simple than the other ones. The colours on the dress are much lighter and she's not wearing any sleeves or gloves. She also has the ponytail so that's pretty neat. This is the outfit she wore for a great peaceful vacation... until a certain kid starts to call her Mama.

The Shadow
Ever played The Thousand-Year Door? No? Okay then. SPOILER WARNING: Well, this is basically the final boss in the game. She's possessed by the Shadow Queen and is now all evil and stuff. Her dress is purple and she has red jewelery instead of blue. Also, she wears a cape and those big collar things that I don't know about.

The Bride
Ever played Super Paper Mario? No? Okay then. The very beginning of the game! Isn't it cute that this dress is basically a recolour of her everyday gown? She's still got that ponytail thing going though. As a bride, Peach wears... basically everything a normal bride wears.

The Brawler
Ever played Super Smash bros. Brawl? Yes? Okay then. Again, I lvoe these dresses so much! They're so detailed! Remeber that this is the same dress that she wears on Super Smash Bros. for the 3DS/Wii U so don't go telling me that i forgot a dress or something. You know, I would tell what she's wearing right now but I don't even know what half of the things that she's wearing are even called.

The Tanooki
Peach is shown wearing this gown in the photo album of Super Mario 3D Land. Her Tanooki suit is different in Super Mario 3D World, but I guess it makes sense since enemies would be looking up her skirt if that was the case (wait a minute, she glides, people ALWAYS look up her skirt). Anyways, the only difference between this and her everyday gown is that one, it's brown and two, she has a lil' tail and a cute hoodie with tanooki ears on it.

The Flame
Thsi si basically the wedding dress from SPM only she it has some red colours instead of white. I mean heck, she even has the ponytail! I like hoe Peach looks like she's ready for a wedding with the fire flower and Rosalina looks like Mrs. Claus when she uses it.

The Rainbow
Despite the detailed colouring, it was actually really easy to colour. It's just her normal self only with rainbows all aroung her body... that's pretty much it.

The Midget
I felt like a complete prick after writing this down. So to make up for it, I wrote down a little secret about myself below it... I was dumb kid back then.

The Modern
Ah, the present everyday gown! Her gown hareally changed a lot while at the same time, it barely changed at all. She has these darker pink frills on the bottom of her skirt and she has these panniers around the waist instead of a waistline. Other than that, nothing changed that much. Also, has annybody realized how long Peach's legs are? Seriously, her entire skirt is longer than her head and top half of her body combined! I forgot to mention that peach wears a long petticoat under her skirt but I was always to lazy to draw it.

+ a ponytail
Not the most imporatnt feature but I had lots of space so I decided to add it in.

FAN-MADE GOWNS

Winter Dress by The-Awesome-Blossom :iconthe-awesome-blossom: .:Snowy Wonderland:. by The-Awesome-Blossom
This person always draw the Nintendo girls in her own outfits more times than their casual dresses. I really like that about her art! In fact, I think she makes the best fan-made Peach gowns on Devaintart, they make Peach look a lot cuter and they're very creative! Honestly, I'm kinda worried that she might be mad that I used her dress without permission but I hope I'm good (because I credited her like 3 times right now). She actually has another winter dress for peach but remember that these are gowns. I chose the winter gown out of all of her Peach outfits since it is winter and Christmas is coming close!
Anyways, she makes very amazing art! Her artstyle is very amazing and the colours she always choose are great! You should go watch her! She really deserves it!

Cloud Peach by ellenent :iconellenent: Cloud Peach (Dream Team) by ellenent
It really surprises me how this person only has a two digit watcher count, she makes such amazing art! She doesn't exactly put video game characters in different outfits that much but she does make lots of video game characters and her own characters and they loom amazing in her style! You guys should also watch her!

Casual Dress
This dress was made by me. It's very simple. It's literally just Peach with a messier hairstyle and she wears a plain ol' pink dress with a star on it. I msotly made this because I was bored... now it's one of my favorite things I ever drew. It's so easy to draw!

Anyways, thanks for reading this!
What's your favorite gown? Mine is probably the Brawl dress, but the Tanooki one is really cute so I don't really know.
Don't ask me to make these with the other characters because I mostly made this because I was bored.

Also, my friend, Mary Kanegae is a pretty big fan of Peach so I can just imagine her reaction to this right now. Guess I'll see tomorrow.
