SPW-69 by Kacper444-Draws on DeviantArt (original) (raw)

SPW-69 is standard wheeled IFV in service within LaSK. In 2026, after structural reorganizator of NVA, it become clear then remaining Boxers are insufficient in both numbers and capabilities. New project was ordered by High Command with requirements of swimming capability and possibility of fitting whole 12-men squad alongside 3 man crew inside the vehicle. Turret was to be unmanned to save space for soldiers. With supervision from army, first prototype was ready in 8 months. It was a hybrid of GTF Boxer and SPW-56 (which was licence-produced Patria AMV XP). From Boxer it incorporated overall design, while from SPW-56 it incorporated swimming capability. Idea of modularity known from Boxer was abandoned to save weight and fit additional troops. In late 2027 vehicle passed all state trials and was accepted into service. SPW-69 series counts 19 vehicles on 3 chassis differing in length (L/K/H), armament and capabilities, but all of them can swim.
