Kim wasn't always a mouse. She used to be a girl, but one day, she drank an energy drink called Sigma that transformed people into animals. The drink was created by Antanasia, a chess-playing influencer who was actually a witch. Antanasia had attended the feared Scholomance black magick school. She became popular due to a Netflix show about chess that aired during lockdown. Her rise to fame was also fueled by her occult powers.
Antanasia had initially wanted to use Halloween masks for her scheme, but she realized she could make more money with an energy drink. Sigma was designed to turn anyone who drank it into an animal on Halloween. However, the company marketing it opted for limited availability against Antanasia’s wishes, so not as people as she'd have liked bought it. Sigma was also expensive, and people began selling empty bottles online.
The truth came out when someone posted a TikTok video drinking multiple bottles of Sigma and turned into a pig prematurely, exposing Antanasia's plot. After that, Antanasia fled, but Kim had already succumbed to peer pressure and drank a bottle of Sigma.
On Halloween, there was widespread panic as millions of people were doomed to transform into animals. White witches did their best to avert the spell the day before Halloween, but Kim still changed into a mouse, likely due to her name. Strangely, while others who transformed into dogs or cats retained their human size, Kim shrunk to five inches tall.
Fortunately, Kim retained the ability to speak, had a human lifespan, and still possessed hands and legs. She wasn’t the only person transformed; millions of others shared her fate. While her parents remained human, they helped her adjust to to her new body by providing her with clothes and buying her a dollhouse to live in.
