Recently, I've got really interested in Heraldry, that is "the profession, study, or art of devising, granting, and blazoning arms and ruling on questions of rank or protocol, as exercised by an officer of arms", that is if we make some copypasta on Wikipedia. There are lots of things you can make with a limited palette of tinctures and figures and stuff, and if you add crests, variations of the field, furs... the possibilities are endless.

And so, something really bizarre came to my mind. "Heraldry Magical Girls!". What. The. Fuck.

Basically, the concept is "girls get a color and an animal (lion, fox, snake, bear, hawk) and fight with cute interchangeable accesories for the lulz with heraldric symbols and imagery".

And so the first one of my little princesses born. She's Scarlet, and she's got an obvious name. Her color is Gules (Red) and her animal is lion (any resemblance with Gryffindor is a mere coincidence. Actually, the Houses in Hogwarts are heavily influenced by Heraldry, just investigate a bit) and she would technically be the leader. I think she's gonna perform her Gules, an Or Sinister Bend spell right now. Sinister as in "left". Or as in "gold".

I'm still working on the designs for the lulz so this isn't a final design at all, but I don't really think I'll end up writing something... I'm dying to try out some coat of arms for myself though XD
