Sakura Tsukino is the reincarnation of Usagi Tsukino.

After diving to the Cauldron and reviving the Senshi, the Cauldron Guardian secretly denies the petition of Usagi to be revived in her present life as Usagi due to her having the Cosmos Crystal and instead Chibiusa and Usagi both become the daughters of the Tsukinos which surprises Usagi and Usagi has a new body, Usagi becomes Sakura Tsukino a daughter of the Tsukino family and Chibiusa becomes the daughter of the Tsukino as Usagi, Sakura still loves Mamoru.

The name Sakura does not come from Cherry but Akizakura aka Cosmos.
