Sometimes I'm really not in a happy place.
Since art became my job and I became a mother, it's often obligation and pressure rather than delight and relaxation.

But I don't want to choose between JOB and JOY.

I want to live in a harmony. So when I feel overwhelmed, I just stop. I breathe. I do nothing. Then I slowly start again to make art for myself.
I had to find my joy again. Slowly managing to go forward, but in the same time looking back into my childhood when I just started to realize what I want to accomplish in life.

Those old days were filled with happiness and daydreaming, I created my feline character Khalia, I was painting characters for others and that was all I needed.

So, what does that mean? It means that this cute alien-lioness Khalia is my anchor, my sun, my joy. She is not that type of a crazy, energetic and intense kind of joy, but she is that quiet, self-confident optimist that is just smiling, knowing that everything will be alright. That we can do anything. ♥
