"Haddock?" Suijin's concerned voice rang out through the cavern where the Starlight Pools were kept, catching the ear of his husband fairly easily and drawing the grey, froggy folk over to where he was standing with a kit in his hands.

"What's up, Suijin?" Haddock replied, drawing near and peering at the little blue and gold kit Suijin was holding. The little tyke's claws were idly clenched in Suijin's shirt, orange eyes watching the light glow of his glands on his cheek as Suijin turned slightly to him. A paw came to the Den Mama's mouth with anxiety as he glanced at his husband, ears flicking back briefly.

"Look at his 'Kardia," He murmured above the distant rush of the waterfalls, eyes flicking to the darkened teardrop-shaped gem poking out of the blue kit's chest.

"It's dark," Haddock pointed out, bemused.

"Exactly.. that's. That's not normal.."

"Well, what of our kits are normal at this moment?" Haddock tilted his head, tickling the kit's tummy and drawing a laugh from him. "I'm sure he's fine. He looks healthy, doesn't he?"

"Well, yes. He is, here" Suijin smiled wryly and held the hefty little kit out for Haddock to take. Which he did, making a show of nearly dropping the kit before holding him close to his chest, a lot of laughs echoing through the cavern and kicking up the clicks and chitters of the various pools' hatchtongues as the various little callers poked their heads above the waters to investigate the sound.

"We can ask the other Mamas about his Phylakardia later," Haddock smiled to Suijin after a moment, rubbing the giggly kit's back. "For now, let's get him registered, and fed."

Alba has met his mamas! They're a little worried about his phylakardia's color, but since he's healthy... it should be okay for now.
