I got a request (together with 12 other artists from all over the world) from The Institute of Aviation in Warsaw, Poland, to create an artwork for the celebration of their 90th anniversary held under the patronage of the the President of the Republic of Poland. It will be part of a limited edition calendar; the first 90 numbered copies will be presented to selected persons including the President of Poland, the Polish Prime Minister, heads of the European Parliament and Commission, presidents of Boeing, Airbus, Embraer, the European Space Agency, NASA, General Electric, heads of the European science, aviation commissions. Calendar No 1 will be sold by auction with the proceeds going to charity. The total income from the auction will be used to finance aviation holidays for children from the poorest families living in the district where the Institute of Aviation has been located.
