Anyhoo, just practicing with inks. For some reason, lately I've been hesitant to just jump in and ink my pencils. I've gotten into the habit of scanning them and making copies before just diving in head first. So, today, I just went ahead and inked some pencils that I had laid out and this was the result. I feel a little more confident, especially since I realized that one particular pen is better than the other to use when inking.

I still need to be a little bolder with heavy black marks (as well as needing to solidify my character's design), but, I'm getting there, little by little. For the purposes of adding color...at least in the way that I add color, this is probably better, anyway. But for just a black and white illustration, I can't be so timid as to not go even bolder But, I have time. The two black and white comics that I'll be working on will have grayscale I don't have to go super dark for now.
