Description

A commission for Tyranus123 of an awesome elephantine fanged beast. This smaller Gammoth relative tends to be more social, with females roaming in small groups led by a matriarch whose crown and tusks are decorated with dried red clay. They absorb moisture through their fur, which leads to it algae growing amongst it. They can use this stored water, as well as any water source that may be around to shoot a devastating jet from their trunks. Their tusks are hollow and by blowing into them with their trunks they can empower themselves with the melodies they play, similar to how hunters use a Hunting Horn. A herd of Melophants playing together sounds like a musical band. Males tend to be solitary, and with no fellow Melophants around to support them have learned to use their musical tusks to charm other monsters to fight alongside them. Snake Wyverns tend to be especially susceptible to their music for some reason…
