Founded by Salazar Slytherin, the Slytherin House favors those with cunning, ambition, resourcefulness, and self-preservation. A main characteristic is for members to be pure-blood. Slytherin's emblemic animal is the serpent: deadly and sly. Corresponding to the element of water, members of Slytherin are unpredictable in their movements and motives.
