Keep drawing what you want, my friend. Do not be afraid of haters. Artists must have total freedom to create whatever they want, offending or not. If you're too worried about not offending, you'll end up with a timid art, without daring, without vision, with nothing special to offer. How many artists throughout history have been persecuted for performing challenging works that have bothered even the powerful of their times? So do not worry about comments like that and keep drawing what you want.
