A word of wisdom about ARPGs and IPs

Hey, so, there's some stuff going on right now that I don't desire to talk about publicly at the moment, but since it involves law courts and how the law related to ARPGs, I wanted to give a word of advice for the many other folks who run these art games as a senior member of this community, a former group manager, current ARPG dev, and a comm artist myself. Any work of visual art or writing is not like a normal object of sale. If you sell someone a table, when they give you the money, they own the table. If you draw a sketch, take a photo, or write a story about a table, though, even when you were paid money to do so, something more is occurring than just the sale of the physical sketch, physical photo, or physical writing. Creative works have an additional set of laws and rights attached to them, and that's what "copyright" is. While you can own the physical object of an artistic author's creative work, as a commissioner, you don't also acquire the copyright, the right to replicate
