I get some serious chills while listening to that song. And it's the main reason this picture happened. :I
Kyu is a naturally strong flier. Her years of living in the harsh blizzard-like conditions of Krystelletine have strengthened her wings immensely.

Story:
A strong hailstorm rips through the small town Kyu had visited. The townsponies, concerned for their own safety, hide in the local storm shelters scattered about the town. Seeing the chance, KyuFlake quickly asks if there are any spare flight goggles lying around. A young pegasi colt tosses her a pair, frowning. Nodding a thanks to the blue colt, Kyu spreads her wings and launches into the sky, dismissing the faint "you're nuts!" from the local townsponies. Grinning like the cat who caught the canary, Kyu dives and banks in incredible acts of aerial acrobatics, honing her flight abilities. Kyu was born for this weather, LIVES for this weather. It is her life as a snowpony.
