The Unggoy Deacon: Dadab and his friend: Lighter Than Some, the Huragok, from the book Halo: Contact Harvest. I was late at reading this book but it has easily become one of my favorites. Even surpassing The Fall of Reach, in my opinion. Joseph Staten is amazing.

I really wasn't sure what category to put this under. Both Dadab and Lighter Than Some were done with colored pencils each on a different sheet of paper. The background was sketched out on paper and colored in Photoshop with textures added. So it's a mixed media type thing but I didn't have the option to put it under both fan art and mixed media.

I think this came out surprisingly well since I don't usually do my art this way. I'm very pleased with it and might want to do more stuff like this in the future, especially since it was much quicker to complete then my normal art and I really just wanted to do something that wouldn't take me so long with this pic
