I personally like to think that Gaster and Toriel were best friends at one point. Generally, they would tell jokes or hunt for bugs or whatever it was that kids did back then. I can also imagine Toriel being slightly tomboyish back then (though I don’t think that it really mattered for monsters in those days).

Toriel’s at least 10 while Gaster’s around 7-8.
