The Bagger

As I walk down the street, I pass by an old beggar, He stares at me with weary eyes, Then grins and bursts out in laughter. I am shocked at the sight, speechless, That wretched man in those shabby clothes, Dares somehow to laught at me, I draw close to him to speak my mind. What is so funny, I ask him condescendingly, Everything and everybody, he answers me, I am not laughing, I tell him off angrily, I know, he mumbles, and it is such a shame.
