Description

The Lucifer Hummingbird (Calothorax lucifer) is a hummingbird that resides in Central America. It prefers scrub habitat and nests in shrubs. Like other hummingbirds Lucifer's feed on nectar. One of the plants they like to feast upon is the Agave plant which is predominately visited by bats. However unlike the bats the hummingbird is so small it does not pick up the pollen to pollinate other agave plants. Making them "thieves" of this nectar.

Wanted to practice with watercolor. I have watercolor color pencils so it helps me with controlling the medium in so I can get use to it. I enjoyed doing this piece a lot. Actually did some of this on stream. Naturenerd02 on Twitch if anyone is interested.
