Description

Many herons adopt a deliberate, rocking, high-stepping gait when stalking their underwater prey. I have long played with the possibility of terror birds walking that way. Although they didn’t hunt for fish in shallow water, maybe they high stepped like herons to stalk stealthily through thick brush.
