Pasha's Memories by Liktar on DeviantArt (original) (raw)

OC.
The character doesn't summon anyone, it is a symbol. Another old idea got an art-body finally.

Our memory is a strange thing, it doesn't look like a video archive at all. A system based on a flexible associative-based approach, which can be easily changed due to your own mistake when you trying to recall something.
It's easy to copy something even from the nighttime dreams in your own memory data and to be sure that it wasn't a dream in the future. Or your own lie, occurred in the process of telling your story to friends or policemen, will replace a real memory. Even a certain emotional coloring of words in a conversation can distort the perception of an event that happened 5 minutes ago.
Maybe whole your memory - it's an errored archive, so much distorted during the time passed, that there nothing already in it to be sure when you saying "it really was so".

Today you read the way Liktar explained why he forgot a password to his bank account.

As I said before, Pasha remembers nothing exactly as it should be. We know, that "they had some big past". For us, it will be a batch of illustrations, which always easy to see once again and to be sure about these things, more or less.
The character hasn't such an opportunity. Things get worse when they read about times when the "evil ugly witch" should live. All that isn't Pasha's memory, it's a storyteller's writtings, a one-side-look w/o a bit of truth. [I'll tell you a secret, in their world no history-related books that saying the truth.] So, Pasha doesn't recall their feelings, goals, and details of their own story, but their brain pretends that it knows enough information about stuff and replaces emptiness by other's words and its own inkling. What a talented device.
