Even a normal, functioning factory gets creepy after closing. The wide, but enclosed space is stuffed with all sorts of strange machines and stuff just out of your sight that you will certainly hit your head or shin against.

The darkness turns everything into a silhouette show.

And the sounds. It is not silent, not completely. Everything has a strong echo, and there are plenty of noises. The steel beams on the roof slightly expand during the day and contract at night, making cracking noises at random that aren't audible when the machinery is working but sound like something is skulking around in that otherwise silent space.
