I remember reading that this story was apparently part of HPL's inspiration for 'Shadow over Innsmouth'. Along with Gorman's novel 'A Place Called Dagon'. The latter is available in reprint through Hippocampus Books if anyone's interested; no idea about 'Fishhead' though.
