How to fight art theft *UPDATE*

Dec 11, 2021

Edit 18.12.2021; Turns out that the issue with OpenSea and ever rising art theft just took a turn to worse. OpenSea is now rejecting takedown requests (sent via their own Takedown Form) on stolen artwork, citing their ToS as the reason. I have sent multiple takedown emails with proof of ownership, but OpenSea refused to take the work down. The ToS requires me to send a DMCA takedown which involves sharing my personal information that OpenSea can relay to the anonymous thieves so that they can dispute the case with me. Absolutely do not do this. OpenSea cannot be trusted with your address, your phone number or your ID. OpenSea has cleaned their hands of all of this and they will not back you up. Their ToS puts all the responsibility on the users on the platform so in a case anything happens you would be on your own. Here's some more information on the topic (also a good Twitter account to follow if you want to keep up to date with the issue of NFT thefts):
