A VERY brief History of Horror in 4 pages! ...with a disclaimer: This is a work of fiction created to entertain based on my opinions and not intended to be a definitive guide of horror movies, television, or comics. With that said, this was a story I have wanted to do for a LONG time. Over the past couple of years, it has taken on several revisions and rewrites as I worked it in between other projects. Because of what I envisioned originally; I took a different approach to creating these pages. First, I did all the lettering in empty frames on each page. Then, I did all the drawing around the letters. I continued this "assembly line" approach by doing all the brush work for the four pages next. Then I did all the fine line detail work. Finally, I drew all the backgrounds last. I don't know how successful this approach was, but it was an interesting experiment. The fun for me was figuring out how to incorporate all my favorite people and characters: Edgar Allan Poe; Universal Monsters; EC's Ghoulunatics; Warren's Eerie, Creepy, and Vampirella; Rod Serling; Harlan Ellison; Jaws; Kolchak the Nightstalker; ROM the spaceknight; Videodrome; and Elvira, Mistress of the Dark, just to name a few! I'm sure if you are a horror or sci-fi fan reading this, I probably left out your favorite. For that, I apologize and kindly refer you back to the disclaimer. Enjoy!
