A really cool mutated wombat who smashes crates and searches for gems, sounds a bit familiar doesn't he?

If you're not familiar with the early history of Crash Bandicoot, Crash was originally going to be a wombat named Willy before he went some changes during the first game's development.

In Crash Bandicoot 4 though, Willy does appear as an alternative cosmetic for Crash (along with his sister, Wanda for Coco) so I just based the idea Willy is an AU version of Crash where Dr. Neo Cortex went with the wombat rather than a bandicoot.
