she asked for her char crying and being hugged by drift, who in the oc's story was her mentor until he defected.
later on he manages to convince her to do the same I believe.
as for the romancy thoughts I just know u guys are having, as far as I know, hexweaver DOES develop feelings for Drift, but the same cannot be said on his part.
and in this particular picture I just wanted to show their master and student bond rather than that.
