Ichabod Crane (from Burton's "Sleepy Hollow) as a merman. Part of my "belated" Mermay drawings.

To be honest, seeing Ichabod in my own drawing style was beginning to grow on me. ^^ And I can even pictured it that the "Sleepy Hollow" movie as a mermaid/alternate story in my mind.

For drawing him as a merman, I tried to make his tail and fins simple (since Ichabod’s personality is being practical and a man with science), while trying not to make it similar to Victor VD’s (which I drew him as a merman last time).

For the coloring and drawing Ichabod, especially the bag, I used my very own action figure (along with the Google Image search) for references.

Meh, the background was so-so because of the colors, even though it was different than I expected. However, I did the black seaweeds that were the same ones from my recent Mermay pics (referenced from the early TLM concept arts by Kay Neilson).

Used Photoshop to fix Ichabod’s lips. Enjoy.
