As some of you may already know, the world has been unfortunate to lose a father, a great artist and an amazing man: Joe Ranft. Joe died in a carcrash on the day of August 16 2005, mere less than two weeks since he gave us a lecture at the Summer School for the Arts at Cal Arts campus in Valencia, California. I've only really been briefly introduced to Joe, and had about enough time to shake his enormous hand. I remember it, I was starstruck.
