Guess who’s back? Back again? Steve is back! Tell your friends! (And also the second host, Joe as well!)
Yeah, because reworking the lyrics to Without Me by Eminem into being about Blue’s Clues works about as well as following up a Japanese deathcore drawing with a Blue’s Clues one, right? Maybe for a future song parody, it would be. Anyway, here’s a new Blue’s Clues drawing that I did a week and a half ago, this time co-starring Periwinkle! Originally, I was saving this one up for this year’s The 25 Days of Deviant Art to release alongside many such other drawings as Boku from My Hero Academia, Mark Bussler from Classic Game Room, and the title character of Hilda, among many others, but when Nick Jr. releases a teaser for the first episode of their Blue’s Clues reboot series, Blue’s Clues & You!, and reveals that said first episode is going to include Steve Burns and Donovan Patton reprising their roles from the 1996-2002 series as Steve and the 2002-2006 series as Joe respectively, that’s too much of a perfect opportunity for me to not release a second Blue’s Clues drawing after 2017’s The 25 Days of Deviant Art event! As someone who loved Blue’s Clues as a toddler (which, as I mentioned in 2017, was where my earliest drawing inspiration came from before The Amazing World of Gumball cemented it many years later as something I love doing and want to continue with doing*), my mind is blown out of sheer childhood excitement for their return, even for just one episode!
Blue’s Clues is owned by Paramount and Nick Jr.
*I even considered a Blue’s Clues/Gumball crossover at one point as a result of Gumball pretty much finishing what Blue’s Clues started when it comes to me discovering what I loved doing and wanted to do more of. Maybe I’ll do one for this year’s The 25 Days of Deviant Art event! I’ve crossed Becca’s Bunch over with Sonic the Hedgehog (in a crossover drawing that I’m even planning on a follow-up for, this time with their lead foxes Tails and Sylvia), why not?
